Get a handle on Kitchen Design in 2012, or not!

As 2012 started and we all returned from our winter holidays, it seems that a kitchen door revolution has taken place without too much notice - until now!

At the end of last year suppliers were starting to show the new designs of handle-less doors and the sleek streamlined effect that can be achieved. The marketing and the visuals must have worked as the handle-less door design has out sold any other design during January.

Here is some more information about a new handle-less door.

Give a little this Christmas !

It’s that time of year again when we can all do our bit in this community or the next by giving a little something that may benefit others less fortunate than ourselves.

In previous years Kitchen and Bedroom Transformations has always supported the
Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity, but this year we have changed tack slightly and donated to
The Foresters’ Fund for Children.(FFFC)

FFFC assists charities and organisations in the UK and Ireland that promote a better quality of life for children, their protection, care and well-being. For many years FFFC has issued cash grants for them to purchase essential equipment, or goods and services they need.

Their brief is to help fill the funding gaps for those small and/or volunteer children's groups who have difficulty in raising money from the usual sources, and whose activities they believe are to be essential towards the aim of helping children in your local communities to lead healthy and fulfilling lives.

Transforming Office Kitchenettes at Vodafone

When Vodafone renovated its headquarters in Munich, Germany, one of the objectives was to eliminate bottles and kettles from the office kitchenettes.

Thanks to GROHE water systems, the kitchens are now clutter free and the employees have an on-demand supply of boiling water and perfectly filtered and chilled sparkling water direct from the kitchen taps.

Farrow & Ball Colours cont.

Having seen the detail in the previous post, I thought I would take this opportunity to explain why I found this interesting and how it relates to the kitchens and bedrooms offered by KABT.

We have recently finished a kitchen installation that used colour matched Farrow & Ball 'blackened' as the colour scheme, and I have to say that the result was well received. I will upload some photos when I get them.
